14 Data Sources. Zero Blind Spots.
We monitor every corner of the market so you don't have to. Each signal is AI-enriched with multiple independent data sources before scoring.
Insider Trades
SEC Form 4 filings — when executives buy their own stock with real money, scored by transaction size, role, and history.
Congress Trades
House & Senate financial disclosures — what politicians are buying and selling with information-asymmetric access.
8-K Filings
Material events filed with the SEC — buybacks, executive changes, mergers, earnings surprises, auditor changes.
Convergence Engine
When 3+ independent signals hit the same stock, our cross-signal engine fires with quality-weighted convergence scoring.

Drug approvals, recalls, complete response letters, and safety alerts — scored by catalyst type and market cap impact.
CFTC COT
Commitments of Traders positioning data across 11 major futures contracts — tracking institutional sentiment shifts.
13D Activist Filings
Activist investors crossing 5% ownership — tracking 10 elite activists like Elliott, Icahn, and Third Point.
How It Works
From raw data to actionable intelligence in three steps.

AI Scores 0-100
Each signal gets enriched with multiple independent data sources — technicals, macro context, sentiment, credit spreads, legislative tracking — then AI assigns a conviction score with plain-English analysis.
Convergence Fires
When 3+ independent signals hit the same stock within 72 hours, our convergence engine fires. The more sources that agree, the higher the conviction. We track every call and show you the receipts.
The Convergence Edge
Most alert services give you one signal at a time. We show you when everything lines up.
“Four independent signals converging within 72 hours. The CFO purchase is discretionary (not pre-scheduled), the 8-K filing confirms a material contract, a Senator is buying, and FDA fast-track designation signals regulatory momentum. Multiple data sources pointing the same direction.”

Meet the Founder
I'm Kevin Ryan — husband to Brittani, dad to two amazing boys, and an Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor at a paper mill in the Pacific Northwest. I work with my hands and three months ago I'd never written a line of code.
I built Open Alpha because I watched guys I work with lose money trading on gut feelings while Wall Street sits behind $24,000 Bloomberg terminals using the same public data we can all access. That didn't sit right with me.
So I taught myself to code. Every signal is tracked. Every win rate is public. Every outcome is measured. No black box. No hidden fees. No venture capital telling me to juice the numbers.
This is a one-man shop built after 12-hour shifts. If something breaks, you're talking directly to the guy who built it.
— Kevin Ryan, Founder
Built With the Community
Open Alpha is in its early days. Our data is growing every day — every signal we track, every outcome we measure, every week that passes makes the system smarter. We publish our numbers honestly, including the ones that aren't pretty yet.
Founders aren't just subscribers — you're part of what makes this better. Your feedback shapes what we build next. Tell us what signals matter to you, what's working, what's not. This is your platform as much as it is mine.
